چکیده
This study examined the effect of konjac glucomannan (KGM) supplementation in diets with different lipid levels on growth, antioxidant capacity, hepatic metabolism and inflammatory response juvenile pompano ( Trachinotus ovatus ). Triplicate groups fish (12.07 ± 0.21 g) were fed eight experimental containing two 9% (basal-fat diet, BFD) 18% (high-fat HFD), four KGM (0, 0.5, 1 2%) for 60 days. Pompano HFD exhibited markedly lower growth feed efficiency than BFD, supplementation, particularly at 1% inclusion, significantly improved performance both BFD HFD. In addition, showed higher whole-body protein contents BFD. Irrespective dietary level, whole body, dorsal ventral muscle reduced by up to while opposite was found body content. Dietary also HSI, liver contents, as well droplets liver. Supplementation serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol free fatty acids levels. Furthermore, irrespective increasing enhanced IgM lysozyme alkaline phosphatase activities, alanine aminotransferase aspartate activities. increased superoxide dismutase catalase decreased malondialdehyde concentration glutathione peroxidase, activities concentrations capacity peroxidase activity expression genes associated catabolism ppar? , cpt1 hsl ) transport fabp1 apoB100 cd36 ), anabolism related srebp1 ppar? fas acc Moreover, pro-inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor ? interleukin-8 down-regulated, anti-inflammatory cytokine transforming ?1 supplementation. conclusion, diet efficiency, responses pompano, can mitigate excessive deposition tissues farmed fish. • Konjac promoted anti-oxidation . Lipid through acids. The recommended level 1%.

Effects of astaxanthin on antioxidant capacity of golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) in vivo and in vitro
The objective of this research was to study the effect of astaxanthin (AST) on growth performance and antioxidant capacity in golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) both in vivo and in vitro. In the in vivo study, two diets were formulated with or without astaxanthin supplementation (D1 and D2; 0 and 200 mg/kg) to feed fish for 6 weeks. In the in vitro study, cells from hepatopancreas of golden po...
متن کاملBetaine Supplementation Enhances Lipid Metabolism and Improves Insulin Resistance in Mice Fed a High-Fat Diet
Obesity is a major driver of metabolic diseases such as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, certain cancers, and insulin resistance. However, there are no effective drugs to treat obesity. Betaine is a nontoxic, chemically stable and naturally occurring molecule. This study shows that dietary betaine supplementation significantly inhibits the white fat production in a high-fat diet (HFD)-induced ...
متن کاملWater temperature induces jaw deformity and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) gene expression in golden pompano Trachinotus ovatus larvae
Golden pompano Trachinotus ovatus larvae were kept at 26, 29 and 33 °C for 15 days from 3-day post hatching (DPH) to 18 DPH to test temperature-dependent growth and jaw malformation. The growth, survival, jaw deformity and the gene expressions of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) were used as criteria to examine the fish response to temperature manipulation. The growth rate of fish at 29 or 33...

The aim of the study was to investigate the preventive effects of dietary Garcinia cambogia extract onlipid metabolism and serum activities of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST)and gamma-glutamyle transferase (GGT) in rats fed high-lipid diet. Thirty female, one-year-old Sprague-Dawley rats were used and separated into three equal groups. Group 1 (control group) wa...
متن کاملComplete genome sequence and comparative genomics of the golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) pathogen, Vibrio harveyi strain QT520
Vibrio harveyi is a Gram-negative, halophilic bacterium that is an opportunistic pathogen of commercially farmed marine vertebrate species. To understand the pathogenicity of this species, the genome of V. harveyi QT520 was analyzed and compared to that of other strains. The results showed the genome of QT520 has two unique circular chromosomes and three endogenous plasmids, totaling 6,070,846 ...
